Job Summary/Description
The successful candidate is an experienced, compelling storyteller and seeks to provide the most accurate and engaging content to our consumers across all platforms, including text, videos, and images on our website and social media platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities- Excellent videography and editing skills.
- Strong understanding of non-linear editing.
- Familiarity with various transmission methods preferred – microwave live trucks, LiveU backpacks (or similar technology), etc.
- Must be able to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to work in various (sometimes extreme) outdoor climates.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends.
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism/Production, Communications, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Two years’ experience working as a news photojournalist with broadcast-level equipment in a television news environment preferred.
- Must be able to lift and carry all necessary gear (- pounds).
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company policies (will be verified as a condition of employment and checked regularly throughout employment).
- Must possess an understanding of current journalism standards.
- Strong technical and organizational skills.
