Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for performing accurate material take-offs, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project execution through material tracking and procurement oversight. The ideal candidate understands custom residential construction and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed material take-offs from architectural and interior design drawings
- Utilize Bluebeam software for quantity take-offs
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for trim carpentry scopes
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times
- Track material orders, deliveries, and changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with scope clarification and bid revisions as needed
- Maintain organized digital records of estimates, quotes, and correspondence
- Experience in residential construction estimating (trim carpentry experience strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Bluebeam
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general estimating tools
- Experience working on high-end custom homes
- Familiarity with millwork packages, custom details, and specialty materials
