Position Summary

The Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Highway Construction will oversee project execution from start to finish, ensuring that goals are met on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
. This role will manage field operations, project teams, and client relationships while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety, cost control, and team leadership
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instill Safety as the highest priority across all phases of the project.

  • Manage and mentor a team of Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnel
    .

  • Track and report project progress, budgets, and resource needs in coordination with Operations Managers.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, engineers, and subcontractors.

  • Identify, document, and obtain approvals for changes in project scope, budget, and schedule
    .

  • Oversee monthly billings, cash flow projections, and change order processing
    .

  • Review and update project schedules in coordination with site management.

  • Coordinate equipment and staffing requirements with regional and project teams.

  • Maintain full knowledge of plans, specifications, and project documentation
    .

  • Represent the company at client meetings, site walks, and progress reviews
    .

  • Ensure consistent communication, proactive problem-solving, and alignment with company policies.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management
    , Civil Engineering
    , or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction as a Project Engineer or Project Manager
    .

  • Proven experience managing infrastructure projects involving earthwork, paving, grading, underground utilities, or structures
    .

  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
    .

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    .

  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, high-performing team environment.

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.
