Position: New Unit Construction Project Manager

New Unit Construction Manager

The New Unit Construction Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring procedures to expeditiously complete construction of new Whataburger units. They are responsible for leading a cross‑functional team, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met on time, within budget, and according to compliance standards.

Please note I do not have relocation assistance available for this position. We prefer someone already in the PHX area.

Responsibilities
  • Works collaboratively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Maintains relationships and sources outside consultants, brokers, and suppliers to coordinate construction activities.
  • Develops and tracks project budgets.
  • Facilitates execution of Development Plans by coordinating key project schedules, budget, and resource allocation plans.
  • Identifies issues that might impede construction of new units and expedites their resolution.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Organizes, maintains, and updates site files.
  • Communicates and implements corporate policies regarding new unit construction.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • BTEC Subsidiary/Extended Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment/ Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Construction Contracting Operations.
