Safety Coordinator

Job Description

A safety officer is responsible for ensuring that the workplace is safe and healthy for its employees.

• Ensures that employees follow safety regulations through site walks
• Will conduct on‑site training on safety procedures as well as tool certification
• Ensures that HACI safety programs are working effectively and efficiently
• Ensures that HACI is compliant with OSHA standards
• Investigate incidents and report on safety issues
• Conduct HACI new hire safety training
• May be required to attend job specific meetings and learning sessions to represent HACI

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Will require the ability to walk and climb steps for an extended periods of time in summer heat
• 5+ years construction experience (Safety or Safety related experience)
• Valid driver’s license with clear driving record
• Basic MS Office experience
• Bilingual required (English/Spanish read and write)
• Must be able to pass drug screen, physical exam and background check
