Construction Laborer – Hellas Construction, Inc.
Location:
3841 E Superior, Phoenix, Maricopa County, AZ 85040
Salary: $23.17 per hour (up to $25.17 per hour, Overtime $34.76 per hour, up to $37.76 per hour). Wage may vary based on experience.
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 7:00 AM‑6:00 PM (40+ hours per week, including lunch and/or breaks). Possible weekend/holiday work and overtime. Work hours may vary with project needs, weather, and travel time between sites.
Duration:
Temporary, full‑time seasonal positions from 4/1/2026 to 11/29/2026. 10 positions available.
Worksites:
Primary site at 3841 E Superior, Phoenix, AZ. Additional sites across Maricopa, Pinal, Yavapai, and the Phoenix‑Mesa‑Chandler, Prescott Valley regions.
- Prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, or tools.
- Measure, mark, or record openings and distances for layout purposes.
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact or level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
- Lubricate, clean, and maintain machinery, equipment, or tools.
- Perform other construction laborer activities as defined by SOC/OES 47‑2061.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
- Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco–free work zone.
- Physical ability to lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, and move materials up to 60 lbs (possible 2‑person lift).
- Minimum 6 months of construction experience; no minimum education requirement.
- A willingness and ability to perform all duties described and to work throughout the entire contract period and all designated employment areas.
- Acceptance of random drug/alcohol testing during employment; positive test or refusal to test results in dismissal. Possible background check upon hire (at employer’s expense).
- Employer will transport workers daily between the primary work address and additional worksites.
- Subsidized transportation payment equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
- Daily subsistence allowance of $16.28 per day during travel (up to $68.00 per day with receipts).
- First week reimbursement of H‑2B visa, processing, border‑crossing, and other related fees (excluding passport).
- Upon completion of contract or earlier dismissal, employer will cover return transportation and subsistence costs back to the worker’s departure location, unless the worker accepts subsequent employment with another employer.
- Optional shared housing available at no cost to the worker.
