Job Description

The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects.

• Prepare the project schedule and maintain reports accurately describing project status.
• Coordinate field activities, ensuring quality control and efficient supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Review status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis; coordinate with other Superintendents on large projects.
• Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Direct subcontractor activities within pharmaceutical projects.
• Analyze manpower, material, and equipment requirements, and interface the needs with other departments as designated by the supervising superintendent.
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Prepare reports and forecasts as required and keep supervisors informed of overall project progress.

• 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Experience in commercial and life science construction is preferred.
• Supervisory experience such as General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
