We specialize in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting including Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build throughout Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. MGC Contractors, Inc is looking for Project Engineers to join our Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area.

• General Contract and Subcontract administration
• Construction scheduling
• Procurement and expediting of material and equipment
• Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination
• Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting
• Review of subcontractor applications for payment
• Participation in project meetings
• Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations
• Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals for self-performed work
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors
• Any and all other duties assigned

• This position operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment; ability to communicate in person and by phone, interpret printed materials and computer screens, and maintain attention to detail. May require lifting up to 10 pounds and moving about the office to access supplies and equipment.
• Site work: professional construction sites; ability to communicate verbally on site, read printed materials and signs, and access safety protocols. May require lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds; climbing stairs and/or ladders; bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and navigating around construction activities in a safe manner.
• Field environment: working outside for long periods in all weather, including extreme heat or cold.
• Potential exposure to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, dust, and noise.

• This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related program required.
• Prior construction field experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written, and quick response time to inquiries.
