The Safety Specialist supports specific electrical project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhancing a culture of safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of commercial construction projects to ensure OSHA compliance
- Conducting daily safety meetings
- Completing accident reports and conducting accident investigations
- Ensuring all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Inspecting power tools and heavy equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience required
- OSHA 30 hour in Construction certification required
- NFPA 70E required
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Strong knowledge of Electrical safety standards
- Must have experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
- Excellent verbal and written skills
