What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Lead, coach, and develop an Area Sales Team to achieve sales and growth objectives
  • Manage sales team execution in key accounts and priority markets across a multi-state territory
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer leaders and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute annual and long-term area business plans
  • Champion the use of performance scorecards and CRM tools to track results and ensure accountability
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Nutrition, Ag Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of successful sales experience, with at least 5 years in the agriculture industry
  • Strong management skills with a positive track record of volume growth in value-added products
  • Experience in sourcing, developing, and leading talent
  • Excellent communication and strategic planning skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Advanced degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) in related fields
  • Experience in budget management and sales productivity
  • Knowledge of nutrition related to applicable species
  • Creative thinking skills to develop new ideas and systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
