Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this on-site, full-time role, you will be responsible for driving growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and fostering long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities include prospecting and engaging potential shippers through cold outreach, referrals, and digital channels. You will analyze market trends, develop targeted business strategies, prepare compelling proposals, and lead contract negotiations. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure business development initiatives align with company objectives and support overall growth.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight brokerage, including at least 2 years focused specifically on true outside sales
  • Demonstrated expertise in business development, strategic planning, and identifying new growth opportunities
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and client management capabilities
  • Ability to conduct market research and analyze data to support strategic decision-making
  • Experience developing proposals and delivering clear, professional communications
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and other relevant business development tools
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed performance targets
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and lead cross-functional initiatives
