A well-established, international manufacturing services organization is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition across the Southwest, with a primary focus on Arizona.
This organization has over five decades of operational success supporting U.S.
-based manufacturers with turnkey nearshore manufacturing solutions in Mexico. They operate at significant scale and are positioned for strategic growth in the electronics, aerospace, and automotive sectors.
This is a high-visibility, revenue-generating role with strong earning potential and executive exposure.
About the OpportunityThis role is focused on developing new business relationships with U.S. manufacturing companies interested in nearshoring or expanding operations in Mexico.
You Will Be Responsible For:- Identifying and developing new manufacturing clients
- Prospecting and generating your own leads (80% new business focus)
- Attending industry trade shows and conferences
- Meeting with executive-level decision makers (VP Manufacturing, VP Operations, Engineering leadership, Ownership)
- Managing a complex 12–18 month sales cycle
- Driving 2+ closed deals annually
This is a true hunter role. Success requires action, initiative, and the ability to speak the language of manufacturing executives.
Target ClientsMid-market and enterprise manufacturers in industries such as:
- Electronics manufacturing
- Metal processing & machining
Ideal client size ranges from companies exploring 25-person pilot operations up to 500–1000+ employee expansions.
Compensation- Commission on projects (uncapped)
- Year 1 OTE: $110,000+ minimum
- Large-scale wins can significantly exceed OTE
- Full benefits (W2 employee)
- Phoenix, AZ preferred
- Travel to industry events and client sites
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing sales, procurement, or business development
- Experience selling to VP-level manufacturing or operations leaders
- Strong new business development track record
- Based in the Phoenix metro area
- Experience in aerospace or automotive electronics
- Experience in nearshore manufacturing or “shelter” business models
- Cross-border business experience (U.S. & Mexico)
- Action-oriented hunters (not just relationship managers)
- Professionals comfortable with long, strategic sales cycles
- Individuals who understand manufacturing operations and can engage technical stakeholders
- Self-starters who can build pipeline from scratch
