Regional Sales Director – Model 1 Commercial Vehicles
Join our team as a Regional Sales Director and lead a high‑performing outside sales team across a designated geographic region. Report directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales and drive revenue, profit margin, and market share growth.

- Drive regional tactical growth and conduct co‑op sales calls with each salesperson.
- Achieve revenue, profit margin, and market share targets across commercial vehicle product lines.
- Identify new markets and conduct thorough market analysis.
- Assist the RVP with quota setting, forecast creation, and performance monitoring.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a regional sales team; identify coverage gaps.
- Onboard new salespeople and address training gaps.
- Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment.
- Provide guidance, negotiation support, and attend high‑profile customer meetings.
- Conduct quarterly evaluations, monthly coaching, and provide constructive feedback.
- Cultivate key customer relationships and reflect the voice of customer in decisions.
- Collaborate with the RVP to integrate customer input into local go‑to‑market strategies.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and metrics for the RVP.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to execute local sales strategies.
- Act as an escalation point for outside salespeople as needed.
- Assist in developing and managing the regional sales budget.
- Drive Hub Spot CRM and other sales accountability initiatives.
- Year‑over‑year revenue, unit sales, and profitability growth.
- Market share expansion and new market penetration.
- Team performance, development, and turnover rates.
- 5+ years of proven sales leadership experience.
- Experience in a large regional or national dealership setting is a plus.
- Documented ability to forecast and exceed sales targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Willingness to travel by plane and car 50%–75% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (MBA a plus).
- Experience in the commercial vehicle industry or related B2B sales.
- Deep knowledge of the commercial vehicle market.
- Analytical mindset to interpret sales data and make data‑driven decisions.
