Regional Sales Director, Neuroscience (Psychiatry) – Mountain Region

Join Bio Space as the Regional Sales Director for Neuroscience (Psychiatry) in the Mountain Region, driving sales performance and leading a team of District Managers and Sales Representatives.

Job Description

This position requires the candidate to be field‑based and reside within the specified geography:
Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, parts of Idaho, Nevada, Texas, Iowa, and Missouri, with a commutable distance to a major airport.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieve/exceed Neurosciences national sales expectations and other goals set by management, aligning with U.S. Marketing Plans.
  • Analyze sales execution, develop and execute plans to improve district, regional, and national performance.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing team: inspire, manage, retain, and mentor staff.
  • Build external relationships with customers and internal partners to maximize Abb Vie's resources.
  • Meet productivity and administrative requirements to support the sales and marketing strategy.
  • Manage budget, including program and training allocations, travel/meeting expenses, and approve direct‑report expenditures.
  • Provide direct feedback and facilitate communication with corporate partners regarding marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, business, or related field (preferred); relevant experience required.
  • Successful sales management track record in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with physician/account‑based selling, managed health care, and marketing.
  • Strong vision, strategy, and team‑building abilities.
  • Project management experience and cross‑functional partnership skills.
  • Understand Abb Vie’s Ways of Working.
  • Must meet HCIR credentialing requirements for the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years total business experience in healthcare, pharma, or biotech, with at least 5 years in management.
  • Leadership development course completion and documented history of driving team performance.
  • Experience selling within psychiatry specialties or related therapeutic arenas.
  • Proven market/business planning skills and ability to execute strategy.
  • Willingness to travel 50‑75% of the time and attend regional commitments.
  • Geographic proximity to a major airport and valid driver’s license.

  • External:
    Influential physicians, key opinion leaders, hospitals.
  • Internal:
    Sales Representatives, District Managers, National Sales Managers, Business Unit Managers, Commercial Directors.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary range: $–$ (subject to geographical variation).
