The Senior Product Manager leads the execution of our product roadmap and manages the lifecycle of our SaaS and Managed Services offerings. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, this role will be instrumental in informing and translating our strategic vision into actionable plans, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong domain expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building impactful products and services in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Product Strategy: Understand business needs and industry best practices to contribute to our Product vision.
- Product Execution: Translate strategic product vision into detailed roadmaps and project plans with support as needed from Director or Vice President of Product. Lead matrixed team in product development, rollout, and adoption.
- Product Definition: Incorporate feedback and research from key stakeholders (customers, prospects, and internal users) to develop highly detailed product requirements that can be easily understood and built by the Engineering team.
- Intra‑Team Leadership: Help guide and mentor more junior product managers, solution engineers, or other business stakeholders fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and a Product Mindset.
- Customer & Market Insights: Conduct primary and secondary research and engage with customers and internal stakeholders to define use cases and business requirements that inform product decisions and validate new features.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Solutions Architecture, and Customer Success to ensure timely and successful product launches and lifecycle management.
- Process Development: Support the rollout and enforcement of standardized product development processes and understand/optimize the processes whereby our products are used.
- Performance Tracking: Define, communicate, and monitor product KPIs and customer feedback to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. Track and prioritize enhancements.
- Innovation Support: Contribute to ideation and innovation efforts, ensuring alignment with emerging technologies and market trends.
- Product Representation: Serve as a subject matter expert in internal and external forums, including customer meetings and industry events.
- Proficient in agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, market research, change management, and data analysis with a Product Mindset.
- Strong critical and strategic thinking with domain knowledge in energy management, building control systems, HVAC, and refrigeration, asset management and/or related asset analytics fields.
- Strong business analysis capabilities to enable use case and product requirements development.
- Excellent project management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable to change and emerging technologies, methodologies, and agile strategies.
- Proven ability to execute product strategies in a SaaS and/or Managed Services environment.
- Experience managing product or matrixed teams and working in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, marketing, computer science, software development or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the energy and/or asset management or related field.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
$140,000-$150,000
