The position of Purchaser/Buyer is responsible for buying, purchasing and planning activities related to the production of signs and building elements.

DUTIES
  • Work with company representative and the sales team to determine customer needs and expectations
  • Identify, negotiate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare purchase orders and bid requests, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Review proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide purchasing support and budgetary pricing.
  • Expedite delivery of goods and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any issues to management.

To become a part of our team we require applicants for our Purchaser/Buyer position to have the following qualifications:

SKILLS
  • Ability to understand margins and gross profits
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
  • Organized, detailed and results oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous projects simultaneously
EDUCATION
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • Two plus years of experience in purchasing. Sign industry experience preferred
