** Anticipated Hiring Range: $21.25 - $27.13 hourly  Full Pay Range: $21.25 - $33.00 hourly    Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

As the Indigent Decedent Coordinator, you will work closely with multiple entities, stakeholders, and vendors to determine eligibility for indigent services. You’ll ensure compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes, administrative codes, and internal policies while coordinating timely and respectful disposition services.

** We Require
*** Three years of experience performing responsible clerical or administrative duties
* High school diploma or GED
* Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
** Other Requirements
*** Must possess or can obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by the time of hire
* Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete a background check
* Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
** We Also Value
*** Two or more years of program coordination or case management experience
* One or more years of extensive public contact experience, including interacting with citizens under stressful conditions and advising the public on laws, rules, or ordinances related to government or entitlement programs
* Familiarity with the Arizona Revised Statutes and the Arizona Administrative Code related to Vital Records and Funeral Service mandates
* Ability to work with traumatic subject matter on a regular basis; this position coordinates disposition for deceased individuals and is located at the OVR satellite office within the Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner
* Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
