Construction Billing Specialist

RemX Staffing is seeking an experienced Construction Billing Specialist!

This is a fully onsite position in Phoenix, AZ
.

The Construction Billing Specialist will oversee all aspects of project billing, including progress invoicing, AIA documentation, lien waivers, and receivables tracking. This position requires strong knowledge of construction billing procedures, contract compliance, and documentation standards. You will work closely with Project Managers, accounting teams, and general contractors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing.

• Prepare and submit monthly progress billings in alignment with subcontract agreements
• Process AIA billing packages (G702/G703) and maintain the Schedule of Values
• Track and incorporate approved change orders into billing cycles
• Manage conditional and unconditional lien waivers
• Coordinate with Project Managers to verify percent‐complete billing
• Monitor retainage and prepare release documentation
• Track aging receivables and assist with collection efforts
• Maintain organized billing files and compliance documentation
• Communicate professionally with general contractors and accounting teams
• Schedule PTO around monthly billing deadlines to ensure uninterrupted billing cycles

• 3+ years of construction billing experience (subcontractor experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of AIA billing procedures
• Experience preparing lien waivers and compliance documentation
• Proficiency with construction billing platforms (Textura, GCPay, Supply Pro, Procore)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
