Overview
The Logistics Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records and facilitating clear communication between shippers, receivers and internal departments in relation to Logistics. The role requires acute attention to detail and the ability to multi‑task in an often fast‑paced, changing atmosphere.
Core Responsibilities- Prepare, process and update shipping documents, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Make all necessary additions, deletions, and changes to shipments in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records in multiple systems.
- Compare Transportation Management Systems and Steel Information Systems for accuracy.
- Maintain and update TMS and SIS with accurate address, contacts, etc.
- Maintain and update Logistics price list.
- Monitor and update department specific manuals and training guides.

- High school diploma.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions. Working long days including evenings and weekends can be required for this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
