SummaryThe Office Assistant, Senior provides clerical support to a team or department within the school or district office, assisting with information dissemination, equipment operation, inventory management, and maintaining confidentiality and discretion within district policies.
Essential Functions- Performs clerical duties, operates office equipment, and exercises discretion within policies.
- Provides information to students, parents, and the public.
- Maintains accurate records, files, and confidentiality.
- Greets visitors, answers phones, and assists staff and visitors.
- Creates correspondence, manages emails, data entry, and document preparation.
- Reviews and edits materials for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Manages inventory, supplies, requisitions, and verifies budgets.
- Schedules meetings and coordinates events.
- Supports positive community relations, maintains confidentiality, and performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED, plus two years of clerical experience.
License: Must possess or obtain an Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days of employment.
Skills and Abilities- Accurate typing and dictation skills.
- Proficiency with office equipment and software.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain records and compile reports.
- Knowledge of district policies and procedures.
- Ability to explain rules, research data, and follow instructions.
- Provide courteous customer service and establish effective working relationships.
- Use initiative within organizational guidelines.
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
