Accounting Specialist

Acara Solutions is looking for an Accounting Specialist for one of our clients in Phoenix, AZ. Pay rate: $23-$26.00 per hour

Role will be hybrid – onsite one day per week (usually Wednesdays), remote four days per week.

Contractor will be working Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day, with overtime potential of up to 10 hours per week.

Work schedule:

7 am – 3:30 pm (flexible start times within business hours).

• Process a high volume of purchase‑order related invoices, managing the process from beginning to end, reviewing invoices for completeness and accuracy, preparing documents for import/scanning, and validating/keying the invoices into the payables system.
• Perform accounts‑payable tasks, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Analyze accounts in addition to data entry, owning vendors through the procure‑to‑pay process.
• Self‑starter, detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven.
• Speed and accuracy in data entry are a must.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem‑solving skills.
• People Soft (not timesheets) experience is a plus.
• Lead technician‑level candidates meeting the following criteria: responsible for the functional operation and control of an assigned system or process; train and direct clerks and specialists in verifying, analyzing, and reconciling accounting records and in preparing complex billings, reports, or accounting entries.

6‑month contract with possibility of extension.
