Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
Vaco Phoenix is partnering with a top client in Mesa to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk! This is an onsite contract-to-hire opportunity paying up to $22/hour, offering a great chance to grow your accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with weekly check runs and payment processing
- Maintain organized and accurate AP records
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries
- At least 6 months of recent Accounts Payable experience
- Excel experience required (basic formulas, data entry, and tracking)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
