You're a great fit if you have:
- Experience working with SAGE 100
- Minimum of three years in construction accounting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
In this role, you will:
- Oversee construction-related accounting activities, including job costing, WIP (work-in-progress) reporting, and contract billing
- Track and analyze material, labor, and overhead costs for steel fabrication and project work.
- Monitor estimated vs. actual costs, job budgets, and WIP activity.
- Set up jobs, allocate costs accurately, and complete job reconciliations and closeouts.
- Process project invoices, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers.
- Prepare basic financial reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Support month‑end close, project budgets, fixed asset updates, and audit schedules.
- Reconcile inventory, ensure materials are issued correctly, and maintain accurate inventory reporting.
- Work with project managers to review project performance and simple budget‑to‑actual results.
- Process construction-specific invoices, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers
- Reconcile accounts, including General Ledger and WIP reports, and analyze project budgets and expenses
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Generate and review financial reports, including budget-to-actual comparisons
