• Operational Leadership: Direct the full accounting cycle—from general ledger oversight to mastering fund accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Team Mentorship: Supervise and coach the Accounting Manager and Payroll Specialist, fostering a culture of professional growth and alignment.
• Strategic Reporting: Translate complex data into clear financial statements and variance reports to guide executive decision-making.
• Audit & Compliance Mastery: Lead the charge on annual audits, grant budget compliance, and the accurate release of restricted funds in line with ASC 958.
• Process Innovation: Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements to keep our finance department agile and efficient.

To excel in this role, you should be a detail-oriented "Excel power-user" who thrives on solving complex puzzles. We are looking for:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, specifically with fund accounting and GAAP/FASB regulations.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence to navigate multiple deadlines and lead a team effectively.
