AP Specialist

Under minimal supervision, the AP Specialist researches and processes accounts payable invoice exceptions.

• Troubleshoots and resolves invoices with 3-way match exceptions.
• Seeks invoice and good-receipts (GR) approvals.
• Identifies valid proof of delivery (POD) for goods-receipts (GR) for store inventory accuracy.
• Detects valid pricing discrepancies.
• Calculates deductions and paybacks as needed.
• Assists employees and/or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures and services.
• Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

• This position requires a minimum of two years of accounts payable experience.
• Experience with SAP or other accounting related software is required.
• Proven analytical skills is required.
• Proficient in alpha and numeric data entry by touch is required, 10 key by touch and a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft office, including skills in Word and Excel, is necessary.
• This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• The ability to work within a team and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties is necessary.
• In addition, troubleshooting, organizational and problem solving skills with a can‑do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
• Treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Additional college level accounting, finance or math classes are beneficial.
