Senior Accountant

A growing construction company is looking to add an additional Senior Accountant to their team.

This role will play a critical part in financial reporting, job cost analysis, reconciliations, and supporting operational leadership. The company has multiple acquisitions planned and offers strong exposure to strategic initiatives and process improvement projects.

• Perform monthly and quarterly close activities including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review balance sheet and cash account reconciliations
• Support revenue recognition and job cost accounting in a construction environment
• Assist with WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Analyze project performance, margins, and cost variances
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and project management teams
• Support audits and serve as a key contributor during audit preparation
• Assist with special projects including software implementations and acquisition accounting
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Construction accounting experience required
• Sage 300 experience preferred;
  Open to any Sage experience
• Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex data analysis)
• Strong understanding of job costing and cost accounting principles
• Experience with WIP accounting preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
