Accounting Manager (Open to Strong Senior Accountant Ready to Step Up)

Phoenix & Glendale, AZ (Onsite)

Compensation: $105,000 – $120,000

We are partnering with a private equity-backed, acquisition-focused organization seeking a hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to support two Arizona locations.

The company has grown through acquisition, including two local businesses where accounting was previously handled by office managers. There is meaningful opportunity to clean up processes, strengthen controls, refine job costing, and help centralize accounting operations.

This is a build-and-improve leadership role — not a maintenance seat.

This role will support both Phoenix and Glendale locations and is expected to remain onsite at both locations through at least Summer 2026. Longer term, there are plans to centralize into one primary home base.

• Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations across two AZ locations
• Leading month-end close and ensuring GAAP compliance
• Strengthening and refining job costing processes (required experience)
• Driving process improvements and standardization
• Partnering with operational leaders to improve financial visibility
• Mentoring and developing accounting staff

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong job costing experience (construction/manufacturing environment preferred)
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff
• Comfortable in high-growth, evolving environments
• Hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset

• Current Senior Accounting Managers, Accounting Managers, and/or Accounting Supervisors
• OR strong Senior Accountants with leadership/mentorship experience ready for the next step
