Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in our financial activities and well-being. Their primary responsibilities include conducting general cost accounting, preparing monthly financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accurate financial recording. Additionally, the Staff Accountant is involved in month-end balance sheet reconciliation processes and weekly cash forecasting.

• Conduct general cost accounting and related duties for the organization.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely financial recording.
• Code invoices, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and address inquiries from banks.
• Verify and process payment of invoices associated with accounts payable.
• Responsible for all invoicing and accounts receivable/collections process.
• Provide assistance to CFO and/or external auditors during the annual audit.
• Review and reconcile tax forms filed with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Stay updated on acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

• Experience using accounting software;
  Zoho experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 2-4 years of related experience required.
