Accounting Specialist

Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an Accounting Specialist for one of our clients in Phoenix, AZ.

• Pay rate: $23-$26.00 per hour
• Role will be hybrid - Onsite one day per week (usually Wednesdays), remote four days per week
• Contractor will be working Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day, overtime potential - up to 10 hours per week
  • Can work between 7 am - 3:30 pm (flexible on start times, withing business hours)

  :
  Processing a high volume of Purchase Order-related invoices and managing the process from beginning to end - reviewing invoices for completeness and accuracy, preparing the documents for import/scanning and validating/keying the invoices into the payables system.
  • Requires prior Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience doing analysis of accounts, in addition to the data entry, owning vendors through the procure to pay process.
  • Self-starter, detail, and deadline driven.
    • Speed and accuracy in data entry are a must.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills as well as problem solving skills.
  • People Soft (not timesheets) experience a plus.
• Leader may consider technician level candidates which meet the following criteria:

  - Be responsible for the functional operation and control of an assigned system or process. Train and direct Clerks and Specialists in verifying, analyzing, and reconciling assigned accounting records; and in preparing complex billings, reports, or accounting entries.
• 6 Month contract with possibility of extension.
