Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist - East Valley

Overview

Vaco Phoenix is partnering with an East Valley client to identify a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to manage payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. This is a contract opportunity paying $27-$30 per hour, based on experience.

• Review, code, and process invoices to ensure proper documentation, approvals, and timely payment.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, research discrepancies, and resolve issues with vendors.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate chargebacks, recalls, and billing variances.
• Enter invoices into the accounts payable system and manage high-volume processing deadlines.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and maintain organized AP files and documentation.
• Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.
• Experience working in a large ERP system preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism with strong ethical standards.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
