Overview
Vaco has partnered with a nonprofit organization that is in search of an Interim Construction Accountant to support the accounting team during a transition phase. This role will provide essential support in construction accounting, grant management, and month-end processes.
Job Title:
Interim Construction Accountant
Location:
Phoenix, AZ (onsite)
Pay Rate: $25-$35 per hour, DOE
Project Duration: 3 months (potential for contract-to-hire)
- Record and reconcile Construction in Progress
- Manage grant accounting activities and documentation
- Maintain GL reconciliations, supporting schedules, and audit worksheets
- Support annual budgeting and month-end close
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3+ years of GL accounting experience
- Construction accounting experience required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
