Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in managing the financial health of a diverse property portfolio, offering the chance to work on complex commercial lease agreements and collaborate across departments to drive operational success.
Responsibilities- Manage annual rent roll impounds and make adjustments throughout the year.
- Calculate and oversee tenant billings for recoverable expenses in line with lease agreements.
- Prepare annual recovery budgets and quarterly projections.
- Ensure compliance with lease terms and resolve tenant inquiries or disputes.
- Support cross-functional teams with reporting, lease interpretation, and CAM-related guidance.
- Handle monthly recovery accruals and assist with complex billing issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (preferred).
- 2+ years of accounting experience; real estate background is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accrual accounting.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex financial lease provisions.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem solver.
The position requires availability from Monday to Friday during standard business hours.
BenefitsThe position offers a competitive salary ranging from $54,000 to $75,000 (DOE) annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
