About The Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing staff and key functions to deliver streamlined, efficient, and compliant financial results in accordance with GAAP. This includes improving processes relating to timely and accurate financial reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and filings. This role collaborates with restaurant operators and other departments to scale processes for growth.
To Be Successful You Must- Manage day-to-day processes with staff accountants
- Provide hands-on training and development plans
- Coach staff on technical accounting and leadership skills
- Collaborate with restaurant leaders and Area Directors to analyze fiscal period P&L results
- Collaborate with department leaders on initiatives that impact the accounting team’s processes
- Manage fiscal period closes with the accounting team to ensure accurate, complete, and timely publishing of all financials
- Be a critical key player in the Company’s rollout of new initiatives and systems as we scale for growth
- Contribute to strategic projects to support enhanced accounting functions for unit growth
- Manage and ensure accountability of the team in day-to-day accounting operations, including close tasks and new restaurant opening support
- Report and analyze financial reporting for restaurants, G&A, and pre-opening spend
- Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations on a consistent cadence
- Oversee bank reconciliation, revenue, and treasury activities to support cash flow forecasting
- Manage lease accounting, fixed assets, insurance, debt, payroll accounting and other periodic accruals
- Oversee and audit the company’s Expense Management platform
- Research and communicate the impact of changes in regulatory and GAAP accounting principles
- Ensure all unearned revenue accounting practices are in compliance
- Support, prepare, and review requests relating to the year-end audit and income tax filings
- Oversee third party delivery data reconciliation and vendors
- Drive accountability to update and/or create robust process documentation for the team’s tasks
- Formalize and lead account balance reconciliation review cadence and clean-up initiatives
- Streamline existing accounting processes and support technology rollouts to improve efficiency and ensure controls
- Create processes and reconcile accounts based on new initiatives

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, including audit, journal entries, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Minimum 2 years accounting supervisory experience
- Experience with streamlining, documenting, and flowcharting accounting procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and ASC
- Extensive experience with payroll processing, recording, balancing, controls, and taxes
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Restaurant accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software and systems
Salary Description
$95,000 to $105,000 base salary
