Accounts Payable Supervisor​/Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager to oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable team in West Phoenix, Arizona. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure the efficient processing of payments and invoices. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable functions and demonstrate leadership capabilities to streamline workflows and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

- Oversee invoice coding and ensure proper allocation to the correct accounts.

- Conduct regular check runs and manage payment processing through Automated Clearing House (ACH).

- Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to payment processes.

- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable department.

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.

- Monitor and analyze accounts payable metrics to identify areas for improvement.

- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.

- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all transactions.

- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable management or supervision.

- Strong knowledge of invoice coding and payment processing, including ACH.

- Proficiency in conducting check runs and maintaining accurate payment records.

- Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory requirements in financial operations.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments.

- Experience with financial software and tools relevant to accounts payable processes.
