Responsibilities include:
- Prepare partnership, corporate, and individual federal and state income tax returns and all related work papers.
- Work directly with clients to gather data for preparation purposes.
- Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice.
- Assist with strategic tax planning including researching federal tax law and drafting technical memos.
- Review and research financial statements and tax returns to deliver quality service, advice, and tax strategy.
- Assist with IRS audit defense.
- Federal and state compliance reporting.
- Prepare ad hoc reports.
- Additional responsibilities as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA and/or Master's in Tax or Accounting preferred
- Enrolled Agent (EA) certification a plus
- Preparation experience of federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and/or individuals required
- Intermediate Excel skills required
