Location:
Phoenix, AZ Preferred (Salary: $70,000/yr to $80,000/yr)
The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in our financial activities and well-being. Their primary responsibilities include conducting general cost accounting, preparing monthly financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accurate financial recording. Additionally, the Staff Accountant is involved in month‑end balance sheet reconciliation processes and weekly cash forecasting.
Responsibilities- Conduct general cost accounting and related duties for the organization.
- Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely financial recording.
- Code invoices, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly and address inquiries from banks.
- Verify and process payment of invoices associated with accounts payable.
- Responsible for all invoicing and accounts receivable/collections process.
- Provide assistance to CFO and/or external auditors during the annual audit.
- Review and reconcile tax forms filed with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Stay updated on acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

- Solid understanding of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
- Adherence to ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic, professional services environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to staying updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience using accounting software;
Zoho experience is a plus.
- Self‑driven to succeed and reach or exceed performance metrics and goals.
- Willing to take ownership of tasks and drive positive outcomes.
- Ability to establish new valuable relationships and strengthen existing ones.
- Prioritizes accounting knowledge and position growth, providing superior client service.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 2-4 years of related experience required.
