Managing Director, Accounting & Finance Search

Headfarmer is partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-entity organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This is a newly created role designed for an accounting professional守 who has moved beyond foundational responsibilities and is ready to take ownership of complex areas of the close process, technical accounting matters, and higher-risk balance sheet accounts.

• Lead and independently perform month‑end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Own and analyze complex and judgment‑based accounts, such as deferred revenue, accruals, and other high‑risk balance sheet areas
• Support the organization’s transition from cash‑based to accrual accounting
• Prepare variance analyses and management‑level reporting
• Review work prepared by junior team members and assist with training and development
• Partner cross‑functionally with operations, billing, and administrative teams acrosserson multiple locations
• Support year‑end audits, including audit schedules, reconciliations, and responses to auditor inquiries
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance close efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses related to growth initiatives and system enhancements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in a multi‑entity or private equity–backed environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and the full accounting cycle
• Experience with complex reconciliations, variance analysis, and judgment‑based accounting areas
• Exposure to technical accounting topics such as revenue recognition, deferred revenue, or accounting policy interpretation
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
• Curious, proactive mindset – willing to dig in, ask questions, and figure things out
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
• Clear communicator who can partner effectively with both accounting and non‑accounting stakeholders
• Team‑oriented approach with interest in mentoring and supporting junior staff
• Fast‑paced, high‑volume environment that feels entrepreneurial
