Senior Accountant – Public Accounting | $100,000–$110,000 | Hybrid

We are hiring a strong Senior Accountant to support a public accounting practice serving small and mid‑sized business clients. This role may also be suitable for candidates operating at a Supervisor or Manager level, depending on experience.

The position focuses on reviewing accounting and bookkeeping work, handling compilations, and supporting limited review engagements. It is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills who is confident working in a public accounting environment and managing multiple client files.

• Review bookkeeping and accounting work for small business clients
• Oversee monthly accounting, cleanup projects, and year‑end close
• Handle compilation engagements and assist with review engagements
• Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and properly supported

• Communicate directly with clients on accounting‑related matters
• Support senior staff during client discussions and meetings
• Maintain professional, timely, and service‑focused communication

• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
• Ensure work progresses efficiently and meets quality standards
• Identify issues early and recommend effective solutions

• Work with Quick Books, Ultra Tax, and Canopy
• Maintain organized documentation and work papers

• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Recent experience in public accounting with small business clients
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, compilations, and reviews
• Experience reviewing work prepared by others
• Strong communication and client management skills

• Typically 5–7 years of public accounting experience
• Proven ability to manage small business accounting files independently

• CPA preferred but not mandatory
• Practical experience and technical capability are more important than certification alone

• Salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year (USD)
