Junior Accountant – Meadows Behavioral Healthcare (Phoenix, AZ)

We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to support accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable, journal entries, audits, and administrative support to the CFO and CEO. This is a full‑time entry‑level position based in Phoenix, AZ.

The Junior Accountant supports accounting operations by performing accounting functions, providing backup in processing payroll and accounts payable, performing general accounting functions as assigned, and may provide administrative clerical support to the CFO and CEO as needed.

• Assist in preparing and posting journal entries and reconciling corresponding accounts.
• Provide support to Controller and/or designee during annual audit and as assigned.
• Provide backup in processing payroll, accounts payable, and other designated expenses as assigned.
• Assist in the reconciliation of bank accounts and employee expense accounts on a monthly basis.
• Assist executive management with specific requests, when applicable.
• Assist Controller and/or designee with staff training upon request.

• Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Two years’ experience in accounting or finance required. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and foundation of internal controls. Experience gained in a healthcare business environment preferred.
