2nd Shift Automation Technician

Insight Global's client in the Material Handling industry is searching for a Level 2 Automation Technician that will be focused on the troubleshooting and maintenance of the material handling equipment. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
Diagnose and repair mechanical problems by using advanced troubleshooting skills
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using technical drawings
Performance of preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and prevent unsafe working conditions
Leading troubleshooting efforts for complex equipment issues
Train & mentor Level 1 Automation Technician colleagues
Develop & implement preventative maintenance programs
Update standard operating procedures and technical documentation
Interface & partner with engineering teams regarding design changes & upgrades
Documentation of maintenance activities & repairs
Follow all internal and OSHA safety standards

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience working in the material handling, electrical, mechanical, or automotive industries

2+ years of experience with technical troubleshooting and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platform or software
