Environmental Specialist (Plant Level)
Assist the plant Environmental Manager with environmental program implementation and develop an understanding of regulatory requirements with a focus on waste and water. This position reports directly to the site Environmental Manager and is a member of the plant environmental department. The primary employee will manage environmental data in the data tracking software for the heavy manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities- Prepare and submit water & waste related compliance reports.
- Conduct water & waste quality assessments and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, NJ, and local regulations.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections and audits.
- Monitor changes in water quality regulations and update company policies accordingly.
- Provide training and guidance to site staff on water and waste compliance and best management practices.
