Staff Accountant

Role:

A large manufacturing company in the Lehigh Valley is looking to add a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in helping the Controller and Senior Accountant in analyzing and improving product costing and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Work with the controller to assist with month end close, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.
• Perform accounting in regards to cost of goods sold, inventory, bill of materials, etc.
• Work cross-functionally with A/P to code and process invoices and expense reports
• Perform financial statement preparation
• Perform standard costing and cost accounting
• Provide weekly reports to upper management for production performance and variances
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
• Assist with Y/E inventory audit
• Help with continuous process improvements
• Participate in manufacturing yields, labor efficiency, machine efficiency, emissions reports, and utility overhead.
• Ad Hoc Projects

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for a manufacturing environment

Proven understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial analysis

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

This will be an in office position.
