Security Officer - Temple University

Allied Universal -  - Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location;
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment;
Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards; report concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate responders to help to deter unwanted activity;
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing people to appropriate resources, and coordinating with public responders when needed;
Document patrol activity, incidents, and/or suspicious observations in required logs and reports, and communicate updates during shift turnover per site procedures
