Earn $31.98/hr.!
The LPN will administer medication and therapeutic treatments per the physician's orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
* Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
* Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
* Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed
* Assess client response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
* Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor's orders, etc., as required
* Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and Hep C testing for all patients and assigned units, including making outside referrals when necessary
* Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications) prevention and management of aggressive behavior

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
* Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
* 1 year of nursing experience is required
* Experience with chemically dependent population preferred
* Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence
* Current CPR certification
