RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders

• May float to Women's and Family units when needed, with ICU-only assignments at this facility

• Receive orientation for Women's and Family assignments

• Handle patients similar to MICU/RICU with exception of CRRT and ECMO

• Care for preeclampsia, eclampsia, hypertensive mothers, hyperemesis, and postpartum hemorrhage patients

• Patient ratios will not exceed 1:3 when assigned to any unit or hospital

• Normally assigned 24 hours in advance but may be pulled mid-shift to float to any unit or hospital

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under physician direction

• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to individualize patient care

• Direct nursing support staff according to standards of nursing practice and departmental policies

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred

• 1 year experience in clinical specialty area preferred

• Required certifications: PA Registered Nurse License, Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Professional education, training, or additional certifications may be required by specialty area
