LPN Dispensing Nurse PRN

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN to join our team at our North 4th Street Methadone Clinic in Philadelphia, PA.

This role is PRN/On-Call only - Monday - Friday 5:30am-2:30pm, Sat-Sun 7:30am-12:30pm.

Earn $33.98/hr.!

Position Details

As a dispensing LPN, this position is responsible for assisting in all areas of client care in the opioid treatment program and in compliance with all Pennsylvania State and Federal laws and regulations. The nurse will ensure that medication is dispensed to clients as prescribed, chart daily, and monitor the client's response to treatment and medication dosage.

Additional responsibilities will include:

* Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines

* Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction

* Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed

* Assess client response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions

* Maintain all medical records, including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor's orders, etc., as required

* Collect and prepare client specimens for point-of-care testing/external lab analysis

* Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

* Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program

* Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA

* 1 year of nursing experience is required

* Experience with chemically dependent population preferred

* Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence

* Current CPR certification
