Responsibilities of a Floor Technician:

• Clean and maintain floors in resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and facility policies.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Assist with additional custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications of a Floor Technician:

• Previous experience in floor care, custodial work, or a similar role; experience in a healthcare or long-term care environment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling light equipment.
