About the Opportunity

We're seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to join the firm's General Liability Defense practice in Philadelphia. This group handles a broad range of matters including premises liability, construction accidents, auto and trucking claims, negligent security, and personal injury defense.

This role offers hands-on litigation experience, direct partner collaboration, and the chance to work on challenging, high-exposure cases for some of the region's most respected clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a general liability defense caseload from inception through resolution with partner oversight
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and client communications
• Attend mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials as needed
• Maintain accurate time records and meet firm billing expectations

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and in good standing (New Jersey Bar a plus)
• 2-5 years of civil litigation experience, ideally in general liability or insurance defense
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Deposition and motion practice experience required; trial experience a plus
