Broker II, Property & Casualty

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting the Power & Renewables team. As a Property & Casualty Broker, you will work with Associate Brokers, Brokers, Account Executives, and Practice Leadership.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Philadelphia, PA office.

What the day will look like

  • Lead broker for strategy, design, and marketing of power & renewable accounts, including single placement, and layered accounts.
  • Function as a lead broker on assigned book of clients
  • Responsible for all aspects of client service for assigned book of business including, invoicing/billing, policy collection, review, and transmittal per established service standards.
  • Facilitate the compilation and distribution of submission information in conjunction with appropriate external client contacts and internal Aon clients.
  • Provide broking status and continuous support and service to clients during the entire broking process and the entire period of engagement by the client (this is a continuous process)
  • Assist with the development of client presentations including the development/use of analytical data and modeling tools. Present terms to Clients to the Account Management Team.
  • Negotiate assigned accounts and change endorsements directly with underwriters.
  • Drive utilization of all available technology throughout broking process and client service process
  • Responsible for all aspects of client service for assigned book of business including, binding, and invoicing, policy preparation and collection, review, and transmittal per established service standards with support from Associate Brokers
  • Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clients and producing offices
  • Client relationship management (direct clients and/or producing offices)
  • Assist in the production and/or delivery of account RFP tenders.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Required experience

  • 8+ years of insurance industry experience
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • A team player
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and other business software platforms
  • Effective use of social media to deliver relevant industry information

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

  • Must maintain an active Property and Casualty insurance license, or be able to acquire one within the first 120 days of employment
