MongoDB Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Mongo

DB Architect to design, implement, secure, and optimize Mongo

DB and vector database infrastructure.

This role ensures high availability, scalability, and performance of database systems, while also supporting development teams with data modeling, architecture decisions, and advanced database features across cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Mongo
  
  DB and vector databases for applications of various sizes with a focus on availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to support data modeling and optimal database design.
• Implement and maintain Mongo
  
  DB clusters, including replica sets and sharded clusters, as well as vector databases.
• Conduct database performance tuning and optimization to improve query efficiency and system responsiveness.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to maintain data integrity.
• Monitor databases and resolve issues related to performance, queries, and replication.
• Configure alerting and observability for Mongo
  
  DB and vector database environments.
• Enforce security protocols including authentication, authorization, encryption, and access controls.
• Coordinate with system administrators to provision infrastructure and hardware resources.
• Stay informed on Mongo
  
  DB/vector database advancements and assess applicability to current systems.
• Document configurations, procedures, and support materials for operational continuity.
• Support integration of vector databases and knowledge graphs in application development.
• Design schema and indexing strategies for efficient high-dimensional vector storage and retrieval.
• Optimize vector-related operations and query performance.
• Ensure continuous architectural and security improvements across database infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in database technologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mongo
  
  DB Atlas and vector databases.
• 3+ years of experience in hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency with SQL, Power Shell, Unix shell scripting.
• Expertise in database tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, PGADMIN, Mongo CLI, Mongo
  
  DB Compass.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Experience in database migrations and upgrades.
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, and performance monitoring.
• Proven ability to automate, optimize, and deploy databases in cloud environments.
• Experience working with global teams and managing international collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with multiple database technologies including Postgre
  
  SQL, Dynamo
  
  DB, Aurora, MySQL, Snowflake, Document
  
  DB.
• Experience in integrating vector databases and knowledge graphs into software applications.

• Mongo
  
  DB, Vector DB, AWS, and/or Azure cloud certifications.
